MY FIRST TUTORIAL.
It's really awkward...I'm sorry...
Basically I'm assuming you have basic knowledge of sewing machines before trying this.
Things like always backstitch a bit on edges.
It's really late so my description will be short...
If you have any questions tell me!
This zipper piece can be used for pretty much anything, and if you want, you can make the two "side-strips" as long as you want, you can even turn the whole thing into a pouch. But then you'd have to put lining and that's a whole tutorial on its own

Can I ask if the fuse-y Stabiliser is needed for all fabric or if it's just fleece?
'cos I'm planning on using poly-cottons and the like, and I don't have any stabiliser.
And I'm broke as it is.

you don't NEED to use it...but whatever you are planning to make that needs a zipper is probably going to be subjected to some wear and tear. The fusible (I think it's called interfacing... I always get the name wrong) is really just to give it more support and make the fabric stronger.
You don't HAVE to use it, but your final product won't be as strong and durable if you don't. (Also, it helps keep things from stretching around when you're sewing it

)
